Seiichi Osabe is just a normal if not insular 14-year-old boy with a beautiful, loving mother and a hardworking father. The bond between him and his mother is iron-clad, but when an accident involving his cousin sows the seeds of doubt in his head, Seiichi begins to question whether his mother's doting nature is normal, or something more sinister and abnormal. Where do you draw the line between motherly love and unhealthy adoration? And how can you tell where that line is when your mother's love is all you've ever known?

If you like realistic slice of life with a lot of depression, you probably like Oyasumi pun pun. If you like Pun Pun you probably like this one as well. The difference are:
1) this one started with a murder in it.
2) PunPun have multiple people screwing him over, while the main cause for Seichii problem came from his family.
Some of the chapters are too painfully relatable and deals with thing like caring for your elderly parents that can't move well anymore. Not having enough money to hire nurse. Facing your incompetence and failure.
It's very bleak and at some point I want to scream at Seichii to grow some backbone.
It have happy ends btw, and after reading the mc's suffering for 150+chapters that's all that matters.
I do not like Pun Pun.
