A girl with ability to see supernatural world sold herself as slave, then was bought by a human like being with animal head as pupil/bride.
Buying random slave to be your wife sounds creepy, but in practice this manga is not that creepy. There's barely any romance since Chise is still young while Ainz's emotion level haven't reach human maturity yet.
The early volume has this fantasy fairy tale vibe, the type that brings out wonder and really arouse imagination. Both Chise and Ainz wander around looking for a way to temporary control Chise's power while doing some job, showing a glipse of the world's magic ecosystem and society.
I am not a fan of the later half (school arc) as it feels like other tournament/school arc. It kind of kill the fantasy adventuring vibes going on the first half. I am going to wait until this manga finished and hopefully the adventure from 1st part of the manga return.
